Notes On Pricing And More As We Approach A New Year

I want to thank you for your continued love and support of my work and I want to share some updates as we enter a new year together.

Over the past year, the cost of raw materials has risen significantly. For instance, patchouli prices have more than quadrupled due to severe weather in Indonesia, the world’s largest supplier. Many other materials face similar challenges, affecting both cost and quality.

The market is flooded with low-quality fragrances, but I know my customers value the quality that I bring. My focus has always been on using the best materials and maintaining that standard, even as costs have risen. Due to the election and the resulting tariffs, material costs are expected to rise even further. These changes are likely to lead to widespread price increases across many industries, including  perfumers who rely on premium or rare materials.

I do not want to implement across-the-board price increases. Instead, I’ve chosen to adjust only the price of my 10ml perfumes to better reflect the value of the larger size. The pricing gap between 5ml bottles and 10ml bottles has always been much smaller than it should be, given the increased volume, so this adjustment brings things into better balance. Starting January 2025, the price of 10ml perfumes will be $46 for most perfumes. There are a few perfumes that have always been priced accordingly due to material costs and those will be adjusted by the same margin. This adjustment reflects the true value of the larger size while keeping the other sizes accessible at their original price.

While I primarily use Etsy for advertising purposes and to enforce my intellectual property rights more easily on the platform, prices will change by the same margins there as well (prices on Etsy are higher because they incorporate shipping and various Etsy fees).

In other news, I’ve heard your requests for a slightly larger oil format, so I will be introducing a 12ml bottle -and I couldn’t resist adding a wand applicator—it’s my personal favorite way to apply perfume. I also hope to add more items to the Atelier Limited Editions this year. You’ll also want to stay tuned for Swanfeather Hotel, Haunted Waters, and Falkora to join the permanent collection!

On another note, I know sample sets have been harder to come by this year. The process of creating them is incredibly time-consuming, and even after spending months preparing sets, they often sell out within minutes. I’m working on having at least one permanent collection sample set available as often as possible, along with an EDP sample set in 2025.

Thank you for your love of my art—it means the world to me. Don’t forget, my shop will close for the year this Friday at 6pm, so this is your last chance to grab your favorites before 2025. I can’t wait to share all of my new creations and ideas with you in the new year.
