Due to an unprecedented surge in order volume, we will be temporarily closing to new orders to focus on fulfilling the incredible demand we’ve been experiencing.
As many of you know, Amorphous is a one-person operation, with just my assistant helping me pack orders. While I have periodically had to close to manage high order volume, the current order volume has reached a level beyond anything I could have anticipated. On a typical day, we’re processing a minimum of 300 orders. To maintain the quality and attention to detail that I pride myself on, it’s essential to get our order queue down to a more manageable level as we go deeper into the autumn and holiday seasons. My goal is always to significantly beat the maximum turnaround time, which I consider only a safety mechanism for order surges like this.
Amorphous has grown to the point where it could easily support a team of ten employees. However, for various reasons, I am committed to keeping it a one-person operation. This allows me to maintain the personal touch and artistic vision that is important to me, even if it means taking breaks from accepting new orders sometimes.
Perfume, as you may know, is a slow art form. Each composition is the result of careful planning, meticulous blending, and, most importantly, time. Even when enormous batches are made, there are times like this when demand surges and new batches need to be either macerated, aged, or poured. This cyclical process is crucial for allowing fragrances to develop their full character, and it’s something I refuse to rush.
To maintain the magic that defines my fragrances, it’s essential to get my order queue down to zero, pour the batches that have been brewing, and open back up with a clean slate. We will return on November 8th with preorders for our winter/holiday collection. Be sure to follow us on Instagram or subscribe to our mailing list to be the first to see our holiday menu. Thank you as always for your huge support of my artwork!
