Perfume oils do not unfold their complexity when experienced directly from the bottle. If you attempt to gauge the aroma of a perfume oil by smelling it from the bottle, your experience will not be accurate.
Apply first to your pulse points (the inner wrists, the base of the throat, behind ear lobes, and the inner elbows.) where it will warm with your body heat to unfold the fragrance.
Perfume oil, unlike alcohol-based perfumes, wears closer to the skin. It warms on your body, adapts to your body chemistry, and creates a halo of scent on the body. As it fades, perfume oil can be applied throughout the day as a personal aromatic ritual.

Holy Ghost Perfume Oil

Aroma palette is resinous, woody, and earthy with touches of floral . Highlights include vintage church incense, Somalian frankincense, aged Somalian myrrh, altar wine, old stones, soil, oakmoss, violet leaf, and a trace of Bulgarian rose.
Holy Ghost stands as the third composition in the artist's trilogy of evocative church-inspired fragrances. It draws inspiration from the ethereal atmosphere of a haunted antique church, beckoning you into dark passageways that speak of history, spirituality, and the supernatural.
At the heart of this fragrance lies the storied resins of Somalian frankincense and aged Somalian myrrh. These precious ingredients evoke visions of sacred gatherings in a spectral sanctuary, capturing the essence of bygone rituals. As the fragrance unfurls, timeworn stones, the earthy aroma of soil, and moss contribute grounding notes, transporting you to abandoned grounds long untouched by the hands of time.
On the dry down, subtle nuances emerge, including altar wine, violet leaf, and the faintest trace of rose. These delicate notes conjure visions of a ghostly apparition, adding a touch of ephemeral beauty to the overall composition. Holy Ghost gracefully walks the line between Cathedral Noir and Midnight Mass offering a bridge between the two. With fewer sweet undertones than Midnight Mass and less smoke than Cathedral Noir, it establishes its own identity while subtly nodding to the captivating elements of both.
Holy Ghost is amazing! It’s so dark and resinous, with gorgeous incense! It actually brings images of a gothic church whose lit incense and candles caught the church’s interior on fire! Hehe Love it! I especially love to wear it layered with Midnight Mass EDP! 🖤
This scent is truly its namesake. The atmosphere is that of sun pouring through the windows of an old church that's still attended for holy rights. There's dust and the smell of incense in the air, present but the coal in the censer has long burnt out.
The scent is so well blended that it took a few times for me to individuate the oak moss and rose as on my skin these notes, combined with the resinous notes, turn into a sort of "palo santo" resinous wood, but not one that's burning. It's dried. The rose here is somewhere between dying and dried. the altar wine lends a touch of richness that's on the verge of just becoming sweet but never quite makes it. The altar wine is more like a red burgundy wine note; clay and mineral-heavy, acidic, dry.
Like the review below me, I love wearing this in the evening. The more I wear and smell it, the more complex it becomes and I absolutely adore it.
Despite the power of the imagery of this scent, it is also quite spectral with lower silage on me. Good wear, at about 4-5 hours. Delicate and refined with presence.
Description of the scent are always spot on!
The smell of a forgotten prayer bench as it is lowered for first time in years. Dusty stone steps that lead to the pulpit. Deep resins and robust wine. Whispers of ghosts both holy and not. This darkly gorgeous perfume has become my go-to bedtime scent. Calming and Sacred. What an amazing addition to complete the trio.
